Official Rules and Terms & Conditions

These Official Rules and Terms & Conditions ("Rules") govern the 776BC 100m Erg Dash Competition ("Competition"). Information published on the official entry page and on-site signage at the Mid-Atlantic Regatta forms part of these Rules. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Participation in this Competition constitutes acceptance of these Rules. Any entry not complying with these Rules is void.

This Competition is a contest of skill. Winners are determined by performance, not chance.

1. Sponsor

The Sponsor is 776BC USA Inc, 100 Trap Falls Rd Ext, Shelton, Connecticut ("Sponsor"). For questions, contact: info@776bc.com.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Entry is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of entry.

2.2 Entrants under eighteen (18) years of age ("Minor Entrants") must have the prior verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian to enter, to provide personal information, to receive marketing communications (if opted in), and to participate in the physical activity required by the Competition. The parent or legal guardian must complete the relevant sections of the entry form, including providing their own email address for any marketing communications, and must sign a physical liability waiver and consent form on-site before the Minor Entrant participates (see Section 6).

2.3 Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

2.4 Employees, officers, directors, and agents of the Sponsor, participating retailers, advertising and promotional agencies, and the members of their immediate families (defined as spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter

3.1 To enter, eligible individuals must:

(a) Complete and submit the official Entry Form available via the 776BC Competition entry page or on-site at the 776BC activation at the Event; and

(b) Complete one (1) timed 100-metre row on a Concept2 ergometer at the 776BC activation, witnessed by a 776BC staff member, during the Competition Period.

3.2 Submission of a completed Entry Form together with a witnessed timed row constitutes one (1) entry ("Entry").

3.3 Limit of one (1) Entry per person.

3.4 Entries must be received during the Competition Period. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries not received due to technical malfunction, network failure, equipment failure, or platform issues.

4. Competition Period and Event

4.1 The Competition runs at the Mid-Atlantic Regatta in New Jersey on 9–10 May 2026 ("Event").

4.2 The Competition Period opens at the start of the Event on 9 May 2026 and closes at the close of the 776BC activation on 10 May 2026, or such earlier time as the Sponsor may determine. All times are Eastern Time (ET).

4.3 The Sponsor reserves the right to extend, shorten, or amend the Competition Period, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.

5. Verification and Validity

5.1 The Sponsor reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including identity, age, place of residence, and parental/guardian consent) at any time.

5.2 The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who:

(a) Submits an entry not in accordance with these Rules; (b) Tampers with the entry process or with the ergometer; (c) Engages in fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive conduct; (d) Behaves in a manner the Sponsor reasonably considers unsafe, abusive, or contrary to the spirit of the Competition; or (e) Is a Minor Entrant who has not provided valid parental or guardian consent.

5.3 Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed void.

6. Health, Safety, and Liability Waiver

6.1 The Competition involves a maximal-effort physical exertion. By entering, entrants acknowledge that they are voluntarily participating in a physically demanding activity and represent that they are in good health and physically capable of undertaking maximal exercise without medical contraindication.

6.2 Each entrant (or, in the case of a Minor Entrant, their parent or legal guardian) must sign a physical liability waiver and assumption of risk form at the 776BC activation before participating. Refusal or inability to sign the waiver will result in disqualification.

6.3 The Sponsor reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse participation to any individual who appears unwell, intoxicated, or otherwise unfit to safely complete the activity.

6.4 Entrants participate at their own risk.

7. Entry Content and Conduct

7.1 Entrants acknowledge and agree that their conduct during the Competition must not be:

(a) Obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, or hateful; (b) Racially or ethnically offensive; (c) Encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense or give rise to civil liability; or (d) In violation of any applicable federal, state, or local law.

7.2 Each entrant warrants that they have the legal capacity to enter the Competition (or, in the case of Minor Entrants, that their parent or legal guardian has provided consent on their behalf).

7.3 To the extent permitted by law, entrants (and the parent or legal guardian of any Minor Entrant) agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Sponsor and its respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, loss, or expense arising from a breach of these Rules.

8. Competition Format and Judging

8.1 Each entrant will complete one (1) timed 100-metre row on a Concept2 ergometer provided at the 776BC activation.

8.2 The ergometer damper setting will be standardised at level 5 for all entrants. The monitor will be reset between each attempt by a 776BC staff member.

8.3 Each entrant is permitted one (1) attempt. The Sponsor reserves the right to grant a re-row in cases of equipment malfunction or staff error, in its sole discretion.

8.4 Times will be recorded directly from the Concept2 PM monitor and witnessed by a 776BC staff member, whose decision is final.

8.5 An attempt will be disqualified if:

(a) The entrant leaves the seat before the monitor records 100 metres; (b) The monitor was not properly reset before the attempt commenced; (c) The entrant receives physical assistance during the attempt; or (d) The 776BC staff member determines the attempt was not conducted in good faith.

8.6 This Competition is a contest of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.

9. Categories and Winner Selection

9.1 Two (2) winners will be selected:

(a) One (1) male winner — the entrant who self-identifies as male with the fastest valid recorded 100-metre time during the Competition Period; and

(b) One (1) female winner — the entrant who self-identifies as female with the fastest valid recorded 100-metre time during the Competition Period.

9.2 In the event of a tie (two or more entrants in the same category recording an identical time to the tenth of a second), the entrant whose time was recorded earliest in the Competition Period will be declared the winner.

9.3 Winners will be announced on-site at the 776BC activation at the close of the Competition Period, and notified by email from info@776bc.com within seven (7) days. Winners may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (where lawful) Publicity Release within seven (7) days of notification. For Minor Entrants, these documents must be signed by the parent or legal guardian. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner (the next-fastest valid time in the relevant category).

9.4 Winners' names may be made available upon written request sent to info@776bc.com within ninety (90) days of the close of the Competition Period, as required by applicable law.

10. The Prize

10.1 Each Winner will receive one (1) 776BC Pro Unisuit. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): USD $105 per prize. Total prize pool: USD $210. Actual value may vary. No cash equivalent or substitution will be offered. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable.

10.2 For Minor Entrant Winners, the Prize will be delivered to the parent or legal guardian on the Minor Entrant's behalf.

10.3 The Prize will be delivered within forty-five (45) days of the close of the Competition Period.

10.4 The Prize:

(a) Is not transferable (unless agreed in writing by the Sponsor); (b) Is not exchangeable for other goods or services; (c) Cannot be redeemed for cash; and (d) Must be used for personal use only and must not be resold or auctioned without prior written consent of the Sponsor.

10.5 The Winner (or, for Minor Entrant Winners, the parent or legal guardian) is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes on the Prize.

11. Unclaimed Prize

11.1 If a Winner is not contactable or does not claim the Prize within thirty (30) days of notification, the Prize will be forfeited.

11.2 The Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner (the next-fastest valid time in the relevant category) in such circumstances.

12. Limitations of Liability

12.1 By participating, entrants (and the parent or legal guardian of any Minor Entrant) agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liability, damages, or causes of action (however named or described) arising out of participation in this Competition, the physical activity required to enter, or receipt or use of any prize.

12.2 The Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or illegible entries; (b) any technical malfunction, failure, or error (including ergometer or monitor malfunction); (c) unauthorized human intervention; (d) injury or illness arising from participation in the physical activity; or (e) any other error or problem of any kind.

12.3 Use of automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows repeated automatic entries is prohibited and will render entries void.

12.4 If the Competition is interfered with or cannot be conducted as anticipated due to circumstances beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the Competition.

13. Disputes; Governing Law

13.1 Except where prohibited, as a condition of participating in this Competition, entrant (and the parent or legal guardian of any Minor Entrant) agrees that: (a) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Competition or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred; and (c) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain injunctive or other equitable relief.

13.2 These Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflicts of law principles. All disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The entrant acknowledges that the activity takes place in the State of New Jersey and that the courts may apply New Jersey law where required.

13.3 This Competition is void where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

14. Privacy and Consent

14.1 Personal information provided by entrants (and, for Minor Entrants, by their parent or legal guardian) will be collected and used for the purpose of administering the Competition and conducting the Sponsor's business activities, including:

(a) Notifying Winners; (b) Delivering the Prize; (c) Market research; and (d) Providing information about products and services (only where the entrant or, for Minor Entrants, the parent or legal guardian, has opted in).

14.2 For Minor Entrants, marketing communications will be sent only to the email address of the parent or legal guardian who has provided consent, and not to the Minor Entrant directly.

14.3 Communications may be made via email, telephone, or other electronic means.

14.4 The Sponsor's Privacy Policy is available at: Privacy Policy – 776BC.

14.5 This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, or Concept2. Any personal information provided via those platforms is subject to their respective privacy policies. By entering, you release Instagram, TikTok, and Concept2 of any responsibility related to this Competition.

14.6 For California residents: entrants have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. Please contact info@776bc.com for more information.

15. Winners List

To obtain the names of the Winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: 776BC 100m Erg Dash Competition – Winners List, 776BC USA Inc, 100 Trap Falls Rd Ext, Shelton, Connecticut, within ninety (90) days of the close of the Competition Period. Vermont residents may omit return postage.
