ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mimi is a multi-media artist and rowing coach based in Naarm/Melbourne.“This is the first time these two worlds have ever collided for me.”These designs pay homage to the countless hours she’s spent on the Yarra in the last decade; first as an athlete and now as a coach to the next generation of rowers. Mimi’s artistic expression lends itself to experimentation. This collection takes her photography from the Yarra and superimposes different ideas to create depth and visual impact. Collaborating with 776BC, Mimi’s designs transform technical performance apparel with bold colours and layered textures collaged with iconic shapes from Melbourne’s skyline.
